Is this official NCCCO material?
No. On The Hook Crane Prep is independently written and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by NCCCO. It is study material built from general crane industry knowledge, OSHA 1926 Subpart CC, and the ASME B30 series standards, organized around what the written exams cover.
Who writes these guides?
Every guide is written by a working mobile crane operator with fifteen years in the seat, NCCCO certified on Telescopic Boom, both small and large, and on Lattice Boom. The full background is on the About page.
Which exams does a mobile crane operator have to pass?
CCO mobile crane operator certification requires the Core written exam, plus at least one specialty written exam matched to the crane type you intend to operate, and a practical exam. The written specialty designations are TSS and TLL for telescopic boom cranes, and LBC and LBT for lattice boom cranes. Confirm current requirements and exam details in the CCO Mobile Crane Operator Candidate Handbook at nccco.org before you register.
Which guide should I start with?
Start with the NCCCO Core Exam Study Guide, since every candidate sits for the Core exam. Then add the specialty guide that matches your crane: the Telescopic Boom (TSS/TLL) guide or the Lattice Boom (LAT) guide. If you want all of it, including the 40-question practice bank, the Complete Mobile Crane Certification Bundle is the lowest-cost way to get everything at once.
Does this cover the practical exam?
No. These guides focus on the written Core and specialty exams.
What format is it in?
Instant PDF download, available immediately after purchase. It works on a phone, tablet, or computer.
Do you offer refunds?
All sales are final. Because these are instant-download digital products, we are unable to offer refunds once a guide has been purchased and downloaded. If you run into a technical problem with your download, contact us and we will make it right.
Do you guarantee I will pass?
No, and we would be cautious of anyone who does. These are preparation materials. What you get is well-organized, field-tested content written by someone who has sat for these exams across more than one crane type. The studying is still yours to do.
